Child Healthcare refers to the health services available to children. These services range from Prenatal care to chronic illnesses and mental health. These services focus on the needs of the child and their environment. There are three angles to proper health care delivery: movement, food and a supportive environment. Each angle is important for the development of the child.

According to the World Health Organization, prenatal care can reduce the risk of stillbirth. It can also lead to healthier births and better-nourished babies. During pregnancy, the body goes through an abundance of changes, including physical, emotional, and hormonal changes. It is also more prone to certain infections and requires special nutrition. Prenatal care involves regular health checkups and counseling on healthy behaviors. In addition, prenatal care practitioners can diagnose and treat complications.

Recent studies have shown that children who experience depression or anxiety have difficulty functioning. The COVID-19 pandemic is also a significant contributor to increased numbers of young people with mental disorders. The pandemic has increased the amount of mental health-related emergency room visits in children, and experts say that this has resulted in an increase in the rate of depression and anxiety among children. The National Survey of Children’s Health (NSCH) 2020 is an excellent opportunity to assess these trends in child well-being. The survey analyzed changes over time in several domains, including children’s health conditions, positive health behaviors, access to health care, and stressors.
